Design Diagnostic:

integrating design in business
Our objective is to develop a diagnostic tool to help businesses evaluate their potential for using design to grow and thrive. The goal is to give Quebec businesses the tools to assess how well they have integrated design so as to give them an indication of where they can improve.


Objectives

  • To stimulate economic development in Quebec by giving our businesses the tools with which to gain a competitive advantage through design differentiation
  • To promote and enhance the different disciplines of design as vectors for innovations amongst Quebec’s businesses
  • To demystify each of the design disciplines according to their services and the added value they can provide participating businesses


The Diagnostic Tool

will consist of a short on-line questionnaire, which will evaluate the business’s awareness and integration of design; including architecture, landscape architecture, industrial design, interior design, graphic design and urban planning.


Participating businesses will instantly receive an assessment of their situation, grouped under the following categories:


Within these parameters, each business will receive recommendations adapted to their particular situation. The assessment, which is totally confidential, is intended to give businesses the tools to develop concrete design strategies of their own. In knowledge-based economies, design is proven tactic to add value to processes and products, a definite competitive advantage.
